Every attempt has been made to have the Index to Covered Bridges TOPICS as accurate as possible. The index is now maintained in a database so that it may be continually updated. If you detect errors please notify us so that we can make the appropriate corrections. The bridges are indexed by state and county within the state, wherever known. There has been no attempt to index every person mentioned in every issue. Editor’s Page, File-Cleaning (Shingles From An Old Roof), Puzzles and Changes To The World Guide have been largely ignored, except for pictures. The subjects listed are to some extent arbitrary, although we did try to be complete. Articles indexed in the separate indices for obituaries, poetry and book reviews are not further indexed in the subject index. Many articles do not have an author.
