2025 Tri-State Safari

The New York State Covered Bridge Society and the National Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges will join forces for our 2025 covered bridge safari on Saturday and Sunday, August 9 & 10.

This will be a two-day safari visiting covered bridges in Cheshire County, New Hampshire, Windham County, Vermont and Franklin County, Massachusetts.


Headquarters will be at the Colonial Inn and Spa, 889 Putney Road, Brattleboro, VT 05301.

Book your room for Friday night, August 8 and Saturday night, August 9.

Phone: 802-257-7733 and mention that you are with either the National or the New York Covered Bridge Societies to receive the discounted rate.

Discounted Rates: (includes taxes) $115 for 1 King bed; $130 for 2 Queen beds. The Motel has two floors but no elevator.
If you have to cancel, you can do so up to 2 days before your first night stay for a full refund.


We plan to visit the bridges listed below during the two days.  After the last stop on Sunday, bridgers are on their own to either continue on to go home or visit more bridges. The van will be returning to the hotel in Brattleboro both days.

 A 12-passenger van will be available on Saturday and Sunday for those who prefer to let someone else do the driving. The fee for riding in the van for the two days is $50 per person.
